Eyeglass Donation Program

The Community Safety Division of the National Safety Council supports Lions International, Rotary International, and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) in their ongoing program to provide eyeglasses to people in need throughout the world. Donated prescription eyeglasses are cataloged and dispensed to men, women and children in need worldwide. Please consider donating your old eyeglasses to give those in need the gift of sight. All types of eyeglasses and sunglasses (adult and child size), prescription and non-prescription, and reading glasses, are acceptable. An eyeglass collection container will be located onsite at the 2008 National Safety Council Congress and Expo being held September 19-26th, 2008, at the Anaheim Hilton, Anaheim CA. You may also make eyeglass donations any time of the year by mailing them to: Attention: Ms. Gerri DeFalco, Gift of Sight Program, National Safety Council, 1121 Spring Lake Drive, Itasca, Illinois 60143.

Community Safety Division Shirts

UPDATE: Exclusive NSC Division Shirt Order Information

NSC logo’d Community Safety Division shirts are now available for individual order directly through Creative Resources, the shirt vendor. When ordering your Exclusive National Safety Council Division Shirts, please note that Discover and American Express credit cards will no longer be accepted. Acceptable forms of payment include: check, money order, Visa, or MasterCard.

The shirts are currently available in Men’s and Women’s sizes in 3 styles: long-sleeved denim oxford, long-sleeved white oxford, and short-sleeved white polo, all with the embroidered NSC logo and Division name on the upper front left panel of the shirt (see image below). Every year during the last full week of April, the National Safety Council celebrates National Window Safety Week. As window safety awareness continues 52 weeks a year, we invite you to use our information and downloadable brochures. Please feel free to utilize these resources in planning for the next Window Safety Week observance, which will be April 19th-25th, 2009.
